in terms of being a black girl, i hike, kayak, camp, listen to country and folk music as well as rock.

What does your ideal quirky black girl world look like?
What did you change your major to? What're you doing now? Have you ever thought about working in the outdoor recreation field full-time? I love that you've been doing it all your life, who got you started? Growing up I did a few things here and there, but did start again till a few years ago. Now I can't get enough. I guide for the school I'm working with now, but I'm thinking about doing it more full-time. I have family that lives in Lawrenceville and have thought about relocating there or in Asheville NC. Do you know of any programs down south I could look into? The artwork on your page, is it all yours?
I live in Pennsylvania so I backpack mostly around here. I just got back from a 2 day trip on a section of the AT. I've been on a section down in the Smoky Mountains but that's as far south as I've gotten.
You're right, women of color are a rarity on the trail. How long have you been doing the "outdoorsy" thing? Any trail recommendations?
