When did you realize you were a quirky black girl?

I have always known that I was a little to the left or right of mainstream, that my minds eye gazed a little differently, that my waves were not of the same length as others. At age 18 people started calling it quirky. At age 21, I diagnosed myself with having an over-standing while some showed symptoms of understanding but most ailed from misunderstanding.

What does "black" mean to you?

Black means power.

What does "girl" mean to you?

Girl is a term of familiarity amongst females.

What kind of quirky things do you like to do?

I dump all of the insides, out of my egg-roll and simply eat the roll.
I add real cookie dough to my cookie dough ice cream.
I return all phone calls with an email or text message.
I despise saying good morning.
I play connect 4 by myself.
I only play rated ‘G’ games like Pac-man and Frogger on my play-station.
I do the running man in the mirror before I am off to work in the morning.

How do you embrace your quirky?

I embrace my quirky by doing exactly what I feel, when I feel it.
