Profile Information

When did you realize you were a quirky black girl?
In high school, I guess, when I didn't fit into any of the already formed cliques and was okay with doing my own thing.
What does "quirky" mean to you?
Someone who marches to their own beat, thinks outside the box, somene who doesn't fit inside anyone's conceived notion or perception of them and is absolutely fine with that.
What does "black" mean to you?
A source of pride, a beautiful thing, something that the "others" wish they could understand but really can't.
What does "girl" mean to you?
Too many things to name..... But, vocabulary wise, it's a term of endearment that I often use when talking to some of my closest friends!
What kind of quirky things do you like to do?
Laugh out loud whenever I get a chance (it's good stress relief sometimes), read, go to artsy and cultural events, have mentally stimulating conversations.
How do you embrace your quirky?
By nurturing it every chance i get.
What does your ideal quirky black girl world look like?
One that's free of judgement and negativity.
