- When did you realize you were a quirky black girl?
- Wow. I think i was 4 or 5. I always knew I was diffrent I used to think it was because I'm bisexual, now I know thts only a small part of it and Im just weird period.
- What does "quirky" mean to you?
- umm.... funky, fun, looking at things upside down and inside out, doing your own thang thus making space for others to theirs. Basically defining yourself as you move thorough life.
- What does "black" mean to you?
- wow thats not so easy to define. I mean its about culture, non-monolithic of course, its DNA both phenotype and genotype, its all sorts of experiences too. it might be eaiser to say its not BET
- What does "girl" mean to you?
- girl means someone who is growing in to her own..... everything self,karma,life im 35 and im ok with still being called a girl.
- What kind of quirky things do you like to do?
- read books, make youtube videos, color velvet posters, play video games, garden, macrome, political activism, needle point,paint, make stuff out of duct tape, two step, listen to all sorts of music.
- How do you embrace your quirky?
- i stop runing from it, i stop fighting it and I acknowledge it every single day and give it thanks for making me the bad ass i am today.
- What does your ideal quirky black girl world look like?
- me
- How did you hear about QBG?
- from you tube, i made a video they liked and they hooked me up. it was like the qbg in her saw and honored the qbg in me.
