When did you realize you were a quirky black girl?
In 1975, on my 2nd Birthday. I think that's the day I became fully self-aware.
What does "quirky" mean to you?
I don't stand out in a crowd, but I stand out in your mind.
What does "black" mean to you?
A set of cultural experiences that cannot be explained, only lived.
What does "girl" mean to you?
Not being God's rough draft...
What kind of quirky things do you like to do?
Document history, dole out advice, write down everything, listen to incredible music, raise my children, eavesdrop on public transportation and cook/eat great meals.
How do you embrace your quirky?
By living my best life.
What does your ideal quirky black girl world look like?
Every mother breast feeds, children are cherished, love abounds, gas prices are low and morale is high and each and everyone of us acknowledges God.
