Quirky Black Girls

Embrace the Quirky!

I'm doing some research and I'm uncovering lesser known (at least in some circles) Black female rock singers. I've come up with

Skin (from Skunk Anasie (sp?))
Danielia Cotton
Fe Fe Dobson
Santi White
And the female from Suffrajet (wait? is she Black?)

And then people who can cross genres, such as Anjelique Kidjo, Tina Turner, and... then I started running out of names. Help me out, please! Please?

Can they be considered rock? Well, yes, I guess they can. Thanks. I'll add them to my list.

I'm listening to one of her songs right now. Hurray for the blues, however odd that may sound.

I heard some of her stuff before. I also read where she has written and produced some songs for Lizz Wright.
