I was going through some old files of writings I had saved on my flash drive and came across this document about general belief common to blacks of the south. My source was from a book I was reading at the time. This file is kinda old...created on October 14, 2005 (probably even earlier than that).

Just thought i'd share what I discovered dormant in an old folder. :D

wow!!!! the quote was beautiful and all of those folk beliefs are so interesting! I think I want to bring some of them back into rotation but others are a bit unsettling. Wow, I wonder how much of that still is true to folks in the south. maybe its those truths people just don't speak!

yeah it was pretty cool to show this list to my grandmother; she was like..."mmhmm, yep; i know this one...I've heard of that too" I tried the one about making it rain...I must say...it didn't work. LOL
