Quirky Black Girls

Embrace the Quirky!

So I'm sitting here wondering what exactly Michael was thinking of before he passed...it all seems like a terrible nightmare. I'm quite upset and not fond of how the "white" media is portraying him. Michael is our Black Elvis and definitely one of a kind. He was the Quirky of quirks and we all know we loved him and looked up to him. I love Michael and he lives in me. I was listening to my Ipod and Break of Dawn and drops of hurting tears formed upon my eyes and I literally gasped for air as if my left lung collapsed due to the puncture. This is exactly how I felt when news of Michael passing buzzed in my ears. Anyhow, I will stop writing because I feel tears forming and I will leave you with one of the greatest song (too many to count and for those who haven't heard it) off his Invincible album which I adore and can listen to it non-stop....like ay dj play that song for her...his vocals and the lyrics are bananas!!!
peace & love sistrens!!!

Hold my hand, feel the touch of your body cling to mine
You and me, makin’ love all the way through another night
I remember you and I walking though the park at night
Kiss and touch, nothing much, let it blow just touch and go

Love me more, never leave me alone by house of love
People talk, people say what we have is just a game
Oh, I’ll never let you go, come here girl
Just got to make sweet love ‘til the break of dawn

[Chorus]
I don’t want the sun to shine I wanna make love
Just this magic in your eyes and in my heart
I don’t know what I’m gonna do I can’t stop lovin’ you
I won’t stop ‘til break of dawn makin’ love

Hold my hand, feel the sweat, yes you’ve got me nervous yet
Let me groove, let me soothe, let me take you on a cruise
There’s imagination I bet you've never been there before
Have you ever wanted to dream about those places you’ve never know

Break of dawn, there’s no sun up in the sky
Break of dawn, I can see it in your eyes
Break of dawn, girl you got to understand
It’s the way that I love you, let me show you I’m your man
Break of dawn

[Chorus x 2]

Let’s not wait, the sun is out, let’s get up and let’s get out
It’s the day, a brand new day, let’s both go outside and play
Let us walk down the park, makin’ love ‘til it’s dark
Let me move, let me soothe, ‘til the break of dawn and you know it’s true, oh

thanks for the music i haven't heard this one before; oh and yeah, i find it absurd how people in the media can compliment him AND insult him at the same time. the world doesn't have to be reminded of his shortcomings, as if to say that because of his tribulations in life...we shouldn't be too saddened. some people have the audacity to say that his trials in life overcast his exceptionalism (my word, i think).

Michael was IS awesome! i was sitting at my desk thursday, as i am now, writing notes for class, which i had today...feeling good, great, listening to some music until my brother called me with the bad news. his heart was broken too. it took me a minute after i got off the phone to absorb the news.

then devastation hit. i called my mom (my support system) to see if she heard the news...as I told her, my voice cracked and i immediately told her i had to hang up. i sobbed like a baby...in denial. i really didn't believe it until Friday when people were lined up in Hollywood to give his respects. I was angry at the medical facility the ambulance took him too; I felt like they just didn’t do enough…didn’t try hard enough to save his life.

But he is gone…yet, we will we never forget him.

thanks lex...be peace!

@ dulce como la miel...the man was "breathless...captivating...more than an icon he was legendary...honestly, so was I but the fact that they keep digging for "other" reasons that led to his death is what's making me lethargic....it was his time...God called for him....let him rest in peace

MJ: The Man in the Mirror Analyzed

The life of Michael Joseph Jackson (1958-2009) was extraordinary, to say the least. MJ: Childhood robbery?
